The Car

The Jag

Right place at the right time? Quite possibly - however all of the credit for finding the car does have to go to Malcolm.

After exhuastively searching the internet, Autotrader and classifieds he happened to mention the event to a work colleague who advised his father was getting rid of an old car cheaply.

Well, when I say car what I really mean is sweet, sweet ride. Otherwise known as the 1995 Jaguar X300 Sovereign.

Well, if you're going to do it, do it in style.

After a thorough inspection, again by Malcolm but assisted remotely by Neil (good friend and old car expert), it was given a clean bill of health.

The deal was done for only £200 (£20 of which was a donation to the Gemin-i.org) keeping us well within our budget of £250.

The car had tax but not MOT having not been used for some time.

All cars entering the Sucata Run must have current MOT, Tax and Insurance so the next step was to get tested.

Sadly it failed the first MOT but Super Malc got on the case to carry out the repairs for re-submission and it passed second time.

Now fully stickered up (courtesy of IGS Ltd) the car has been christened the General MacLee. Yeehaa!

To find more about the car and its progress check back soon.

There will also be the opportunity to buy this car upon completion of the event (including UK delivery!) If your interested contact us for more details.
